Day 2 – Nairobi National Park and City Attractions
After breakfast, depart the hotel at approximately 7:30 a.m. for a full day of sightseeing in Nairobi.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., continue to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for its public elephant viewing programme from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Here, you will learn about the rescue, rehabilitation and conservation of orphaned elephants while watching them being fed and cared for by their keepers.

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi at approximately 8:30 a.m. and drive to Amboseli National Park. The journey takes approximately three to four hours, depending on traffic, weather and road conditions.
Amboseli lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. On a clear day, the park offers magnificent views of its snow-capped summit.

Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation. Later in the afternoon, depart on your first Amboseli game drive.

Payment Policy
To confirm the reservation, the following payment schedule will apply:
- A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking.
- A further 25% payment is due 90 days before arrival.
- The remaining 50% balance is due 65 days before the tour begins.
- When a reservation is made within 65 days of arrival, the full tour cost is payable at the time of confirmation.
Reservations will only be considered confirmed after the required payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Nature Bound Africa.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. The following charges will apply:
- 120–91 days before departure: 25% of the total tour cost
- 90–76 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost
- 75–61 days before departure: 75% of the total tour cost
- 60 days or fewer before departure: 100% of the total tour cost
Any non-refundable airline tickets, park fees, permits or supplier deposits already paid may also remain non-refundable, regardless of the date of cancellation.

Is this a private or group safari?
The itinerary can be arranged as either a private safari or a hosted small-group departure. Private safaris include a dedicated vehicle and guide, while group departures may include other travellers booked on the same programme.
Which destinations are included?

What type of safari vehicle will be used?
Game drives are conducted in a custom-built 4×4 seven-seater Land Cruiser with large windows and a pop-up roof for wildlife viewing and photography.
Will every guest have a window seat?
Nature Bound Africa plans the vehicle allocation to provide each guest with comfortable access to a window. The exact number of vehicles will depend on the final group size.

Yes. The tour includes four scheduled flights:

What meals are included?
Accommodation in Nairobi is generally provided on a bed-and-breakfast basis. During the safari, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Any additional included meals are specified in the day-by-day itinerary.
Drinks are not included unless the selected accommodation specifically states otherwise.
Are park and reserve fees included?
Yes. Entrance fees for the national parks, reserves and attractions listed in the itinerary are included, based on the current government tariffs. Any official fee increase introduced before travel may result in a corresponding adjustment.
Is the Maasai village visit included?
Yes. A visit to a traditional Maasai manyatta is included, providing an opportunity to learn about Maasai culture, traditions and daily life.
Is the hot-air balloon safari included?
No. The Masai Mara hot-air balloon safari is optional and available at an additional cost. Advance booking is strongly recommended because places are limited.
What wildlife can we expect to see?
The itinerary offers opportunities to see elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, rhinoceroses, hippos and numerous bird species.
Samburu is particularly known for northern-speciality species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because the animals move freely in their natural environment.
Can we see the Great Migration?
The location and timing of the Great Migration depend on seasonal rainfall and natural wildlife movements. Between August and October, migrating herds are often present in the Masai Mara, while conditions from November to December vary.
River crossings are unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.
What is the weather like from August to December?
August and September are generally dry, with cool mornings and evenings. October is a transitional month, while November and December may experience short rains.
Temperatures and rainfall can vary, so guests should carry layered clothing, a light waterproof jacket, sun protection and comfortable footwear.
Do I need a visa to enter Kenya?
Most international travellers must obtain a Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation before departure. Guests are responsible for checking the latest entry requirements and applying through the official government website.
Passports should meet Kenya’s applicable validity and blank-page requirements.
Are vaccinations required?
Health requirements depend on the traveller’s nationality, travel history and countries visited before entering Kenya. Guests should consult a qualified travel-health professional well before departure and verify the latest official entry requirements.
Is travel insurance required?
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended. The policy should cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, interruption, lost luggage and flight disruption.
