Serengeti Migration Calendar

January – March
Migration herds gather in southern Serengeti and Ndutu where the calving season occurs. 

April – May 
The herds begin moving northwest toward the central Serengeti. June – July Migration continues toward the western corridor, where dramatic crossings of the Grumeti River may occur. 

August – October 
Herds reach the northern Serengeti and Masai Mara, where the famous Mara River crossings take place. 

November – December
